Getting flash files to communicate - possible?

    Question:
Is it possible to get Flash files to influence each other?

I want to make a desktop pet that 'knows' when the user is on certain pages on my website. I made the pet in Flash Jester's 'Jugglier'...and the website would have normal .swf movies. I want the pet to get excited (play an animation) when the website is running in the background.

Does anyone know if i can use shared objects to get the website to affect the pet??

    Thanks!
    Fran

Yes you can, using the LocalConnection class. The LocalConnection class allows two external flash movies to communicate.

I've never used it, but the help in flash looks alright and sounds simple enough.

I do like the idea though, it should be interesting.
