Streaming Video (video is a webcam)

    Hey everyone,

I have read the forums for so long and can't thank you all enough for all the ideas and thoughts you all have had. Here is what I am trying to do and see if this can even be accomplished. I am looking to have a webcam be the video feed to a website. That isn't the hard part there are a million ways to do that. However, I woudl like to have the player be a flash player. How would I go about this? Like I want to basically be pulling the video off the webcam on one local host and send it to a server to display in flash off another. Keep in mind that I really am not all that great with Flash (yet) but I just keep trying.

    Thanks,
    Chad

You'll need the Flash Media Server for that...

You could also look into using Red5, an open-source alternative to FMS...still in beta though...
