That is a pretty cute 404 page. It's a good thing that people are paying more
attention to 404 pages these days. This particular one gets the point across without
sacrificing the theme of the entire website. Nicely done.

Cool 404 page but how did it become the flashkit featured site? Featured site has totally lost it.

I must admit that is pretty funny to watch. Ive never enjoyed a 404 error this much. Usually its hit refresh a couple times before getting the point!! lol

@Timothy - a 404 error could be a miswritten URL,the file you are looking for has been deleted or a broken link within a site. (simply put)

    Good Find

out of interest how do you create your own 404 page is it just a case of creating an html page with the right name or is it more complicated than tat ?

You set up a page with your 404 message (just a normal html (or whatever)) page and redirect to it using a .htaccess file. E.g. you might have this line in the file:

    ErrorDocument 404 /errors/notfound.html

Read more about it here: http://www.javascriptkit.com/howto/htaccess2.shtml

nice, thats a not so annoying 404. Now if there were just a bunch of different ones that would be randomized.

    Haha that was hilarious

However, the second one, the one that sakie posted, I'm not sure I like it. Sure, it looks nice, but it doesn't say anything to the regular user. It should at least offer an explanation of what the error is.
