Taking a C/C++ programming class
So this year I chose to take a C/C++ programming class at school. What schould I expect to be making in this class? And where can I go from there after I am done. Definitely not looking into being a programmer for a profession. But to be able to make my own little apps for little things I want would be fun. I took Visual Basic and advanced visual basic in high school and did pretty good, kinda the same thing?

you going to make some for loops, learn how to make basic programs with multiple choice branching using if then else statements, and twords the end id guess you would get into strings and classes.
after that its another laguage like java or actionscript php stuff like that.

Usually, an intro class is as much an introduction to object-oriented programming as it is the language itself. Your coding practices, code efficiency and skill using OOP in AS should all improve. Damn I wish I had paid attention in college.

I read a tutorial on a C++ site a few months ago, and all I learned was about different vars and operations, nothing about advanced functions like drawing or file operations. I hoped there was more to it, but I couldnt find anything. Hopefully you will get more out of it.

Programming is boring to me. But I figured it will be useful to know the basics.
