Please check for bugs / problems

    www.sojofoto.com

Just did a large update on the site, added a bunch of sections, changed the code a bit. If you could go through the different sections and test for bugs or any other problems that would be great.

    problems with site

    Hi,

Love the site. Like the transitions, really like the simplicity of it.

    first, problem:
I went through all the pages, and scrolled through the galleries. When I went back galleries after I had viewed them, to look at them for a second time, the arrows no longer worked - it stayed on the first photo and wouldn't go through the sequence again. This happened for weddings, family, theatre and headshots. HOWEVER, the first time I went to 'headshots' I hit the back button before I got the the end of the sequence. When I went back into it the arrows worked. I scrolled through the sequence, went back to the main menu and entered 'headshots' for a third time, and the arrows didn't work. I'd suggest that some variable is not being reset or something at the end of every sequence. I'd say that's a pretty major flaw and I'd look into that asap.

    second, my opinions:
In terms of usability I'd like to see more interactivity on button rollovers. Nothing too big, just something to let you know that your mouse is over the button.
Also, the preloader is great, but it gives you no indication of the amount of time it's going to take to load, only that you're say at 7 of 12 (of something - images?). How do I know how long the rest will take? I'd suggest that you make the grey background behind the text of tyhe preloader a bar that scrolls across showing how much of the section is loaded, and how much there is to go.

    Help this all helps.
    Nice Site!

I am unable to reproduce the problem you had with the gallery buttons not working. Does it happen to you everytime you do this process: load the site, view a gallery, click back, and then reload the same gallery (or different gallery)? Does it only happen when you go all the way to the end of a gallery and then try to reload it? If you could reproduce the problem and tell me the exact order you did things (what gallery, how many times you clicked the forward button, etc.. that would be extremely helpful). That way I could determine if it's just you (and is an OS or browser problem), or whatever. I really apprectiate the help.

I completed the basic design of the site about a year ago, but just recently did some updates, added some galleries, and just wanted to make sure I didn't break anything in the process. But as far as the design there's no reason to make any changes because the client is totally happy. When making the site I really wanted to have a preload bar but I found it impossible (or extremely complicated) because the images are loaded dynamically and I ran into a number of problems, so I just gave up on that.

    Okay,

I'm running i.e. on windows xp

I deleted all temporary internet files, history etc.
    I loaded the site.
    I went into 'weddings'
I scrolled all the way till I couldn't scroll any more
    I hit back
    I selected 'weddings' again
The arrows didn't work. I saw only the screen with the caption 'your wedding will be wonderful'.
    I hit back
I tried it again and still no luck.

I repeated steps above in Mozilla Firefox, and the same thing happened.

It would only appear to occour when you have scrolled through every photo in a section.

Please can you tell me what font that is, how it is styled and where I can get it from! I like it alot!!

    Good luck,

Ok thanks, problem should be completely fixed now, the "next" button wasn't getting re-enabled when reloading a gallery. Not sure which font your talking about, but the pixel font in the menu is FFF Executive which you can get at fontsforflash.com. I'm just using the free trial version which doesn't include numbers or puncuation characters. The header is GeoSansLight, and the gallery text is Arial. Thanks for your help!

Here is what I think, the only thing I noticed wrong was the pages loaded a little too slow, but I love the design and the concept, I was reading the thing in the wedding photos, very good sales pitch, it had me close to tears because it seems very genuine and moving, I love the Indian pictures, I paint with henna myself so when I saw the henna tattoo art on the person I dug it too. I think you have something really good going there, keep it up, it has style, class, and feeling. A+++ for concept, design, and style.
