Listening to Dream Theater now, though that's an off beat.

I usually listen to electro, IDM and that stuff. My favourite band list is this:

    Boards of Canada
    Múm
    Röyksopp
    Four Tet
    Manitoba

    and for the non-electronic music:

    Rufus Wainwright
    Antony and the Johnsons
    The Polyphonic Spree
    Brian Eno
    Philip Glass

    Lately:

    Muse
    Meat Beat Manifesto
    Metallica (live albums)
Goldfrapp (the new one, what's it called again?)
    Paradise Lost (the older stuff)

By the way, I'm open to recommendations for industrial electronica (I think thats the best way to describe it, think The Prodigy).

I seem to have an addiction for the parenthesis.

Everyone seems to be digging boards of canada, I love 'em, it's not my genre but you can't deny the quality.

They had this awesome site a few years ago, where you flew over these islands, and their music was playing from speakers on the islands, with 3d sound and all.

Just saw them on Gigantour this summer with Megadeth. Mind blowing. You don't know dream theater until you see them play.
