    Importing AVI files?

    Hey guys,

Is there a way to import an AVI file into a SWF document and when i click on a button within the SWF file, flash opens up the AVI movie in a new window on top of the SWF file?

this will be for my portfolio graphic user interface, so loading times don't really matter, as it wont really be downloadable from the web.

    thanks in advance!

i have not imported video for a long time, but have you actually tried importing the video and there is a problem? or are you wondering about having it pop up?

i know you can use avi with flash but for better help on importing it you should check out the flash video forum here on flashkit.

    THanks ryan,
I've actually tried to import the AVI file into the library, but after it imports, i cant find it in the library.
yes, i am also wondering about having it pop up in a new window on top of the SWF file.

anyone else have suggestions? or would i be best posting the same thread in the video section? thanks in advance.
