    Flash 8 Icons Going Crazy

When I reboot or boot my computer the swf icon displays as the new swf 8 icon but when I open Flash 8 Professional it reverts to the previous version swf icon. I am really confused by this.

I have installed from the two directories listed below and it still happens.

    C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash 8\Players\Release
    C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash 8\Players\Debug

Try uninstalling Flash player from your computer. Download Flash uninstaller here:
    http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/...ad/alternates/
After it is gone (check in your bowser that it doesnt work anymore), install Flash player 8 again.
