Need an advise on building a PC for Flash Playback only

Hi everyone,

I'm planning on buliding a sort of visual installation based on Flash playback on a PDP or a projector. The piece is going to be set up with two PCs, one doing the video input analysis and the other one playing flash player only. The visual created by flash is going to be based on the xml data from the video analysis and I doubt it will be that easy on the CPU usage, so I am trying to be careful on choosing what hardware I should use.

So, I was curious about the performance difference on by just regarding flash performance only, between:
1. AMD and Intel CPUs
2. Windows XP / 2003
3. Various types of video cards

I actually had had an experience previously where AMD chips were faster then Intel chips regarding flash playback only, but I never saw or heard this as a fact from anywhere. Has anyone had his kind of experience before? And if so, are the recent chips still that way?

And if anyone knows of any issues about making flash playback performace better please be kind to let me know.
