    Hi

Not 100% sure (just 99% - LOL), but I think that Flash is not able to show animated GIFs. And, in fact, it make senses to me (looking from the Macromedia poiting of view): why to show an obsolete animation mechanism (non-interactive, bad-optimization, ect), if Flash was released exactly to offer a better way to animate over the web?

Anyway, before someone decides to start a discussion in the honour of animated gifs good old times (LOL), what matters is: no animated GIFs within Flash...

    Cheers!

    BTW, something just occured me...

I have a suggestion... if you REALLY want to use these GIFs, maybe the only option is to import them one by one manually to Flash and convert them in SWFs. If I am not wrong, it's possible to be done in Fireworks (please, someone, correct me if I am wrong!), that allows animated GIF importing and exports directly in SWF.
