    How to do movie controls like this?

    The movie that can be seen here, (click "WATCH THIS MOVIE", Midnight Snack), has movie controls at the top of the movie screen, including closed captioning.

    How could I achieve the exact same type of results?

    The controls use basic action scripting. (programming inside of flash)

    For instance the fast foward button would have script on it to tell the playhead of the movie to move forward an extra 20 frames or whatever.

    The captioning button would have script to tell whether or not a captioning movieclip was visiable or not.

    There are alot of beginner tutorials on flashkit, karupa.com and many others to learn action script.
