ok what i am trying to do is make something that when you click on something a little box apears with a breif description of something, but i dont want to make a button. is there a certain type of code i could use like a on click and it has a box that shows and i click to box to make it go away. its hard to explain. but basically click something a box with text pops up. i click that box to make it go away. ?
i know it sounds like a button. Ok im making a class matrix for the school i go to. And i have 240 boxes. i know the solution would be a button. but thats 240 buttons and i was just wondering if their was a simpler way. Im using flash 8
buttons are a cinch. you could create them in an array. have a look at pages 2 and 4 in these demos ; each square on page 4 could be a movie clip with rollover event handler; achieving the action you want;
thinkin' of using XML?
i dont know xml at alll. and im not very good wiht coding. thats why this is soo hard for me. page 2 is pretty much what i want. but i just dont want to make 240 btns unless it absolutly possible
