Is anyone in the know ??

This is just a small problem but can prove very annoying when using multiple scenes within flash 4.

When the number of scenes no longer fit on the scene palette the scroller appears but when you use the scroller to move down to select the scene you want and select it the panel jumps back up to show the first few scenes.

Having to scroll back down and find where you were is a real pain

My question is, has this been rectified for flash 8 so that when you select a scene the palette keeps it visible regardless of where it is in the order?

Alot of things have changed since Flash 4, including the issue you mention.
