    Mac 20" Cinema Display

Just got my main Christmas gift - a brand new 20" Mac Cinema display. I'm loving it it's gorgeous, spaceous, and has an incredible picture. Any of you have one?

What else are you guys getting/expecting to get for Christmas?

i don't like how high the dell monitors sit on your desk or the styling, bleh.

i just found out about the dell 30" thats coming out. i would still rather pay more for a monitor that would 100% sync with my mac for perfect color correction than be cheap, plus i get to write it off.

Ultima, are you a guy or a chic cause you got me concerned.

How does TV/DVD's look on that bad boy? Thinking about getting something to pull double-duty.

they look awesome. i wish i had a xbox 360 to test the 1080i but i dont.
ive played fear at medium settings at a low resolution scaled and it looks pretty good eventho i have a crap fx card.
i still need to dial my colors in but the monitor is super crisp and i havent noticed any probs with it.
got it for 750 new in box locally.
the apple seem to have more options for monitor color adjustments via dvi cable.
alot of stuff is greyed out and not editable if you use dvi hookup
but id say it was def worth the $ i paid.

Well, using DVI there's a whole subset of options you don't need to tinker with. What's the ms time on that monitor?

Er, I meant the Dell. Samsung and HP have a couple nice 24"ers that do PiP as well.

I think Apple's almost due for a monitor update as well.

Rumor has it that apple will be updating their monitors for some external hookups (HDTV or something), chances are the price will go waay back up once that happens.

I don't know what to think about hooking up your monitor to hd and whatnot, i'm saving for a tv. http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Sony-...oductDetail.do

Probably HDMI, just like that Dell. Carries both video and multi-channel audio, crazy throughput of something like 5 gigabit / sec.

Isn't there another hi-def connector on the way too? Do we really need one?

Sure - this way you have to re-outfit your entire HD/Surround Sound rig. New speakers/AV Rec./TV, etc!

On a better note, re: 3007WFP Dell Link - http://www1.us.dell.com/content/topi...nd/3007wfp?c=u
