I thought my 'critique' was pretty accurate. What's up? Do we only have to give positive feedback now on FK? Is this like a kindergarten where people need to be encouraged and nurtured? I think not - constructive criticism is where it's at. The title 'cool site' should not be given out lightly and if you're posting your own site and it's not up to standard then, in my opinion, your asking for it. And seems to me that If people get offended by negative comments then it is obviously they who have some growing up to do.

Since posting my first comment however, i have changed my opinion of mellowlab's skills in general. I still believe the original post to be sub-standard for this forum, but i have since seen that in fact he/she is a talented fellow - my apologies mellowlab for my outrageous slanderous remark, it was ill-founded.

But please let's not turn 'cool sites' into a place for pumping people’s egos and slapping people’s backs. I don't know if some people realize that the standard of design generally on this form is WORLD-CLASS - some of the people who swing by from time to time to pass comment are leaders in their fields. treat this place like the Saatchi gallery, because it's places like these where today's avant-garde hang out. and if you have the audacity to walk in and hang your work on the wall - make it good or expect to get blasted in oblivion!

(btw – no I don’t class myself as a leader in my field, but I do love and understand what is good design).

DA makes a good point. It definatly doesn't say "basketball" to me.

Perhaps maybe aqua basketball...

Then they have to change it to UWBA - underwater basketball asssociation.

I wasn't bashing you Jeay, just thought you were being a bit...different...there. Sorry if it came off like that.

The only thing I disilke about it is what sk8Krog pointed out, doesnt really represent basketball much.

zakp0: Im aware of that. I know your not bashing. Its just that I dident have any pictures to work with while designing so it came out like more of a design site then anything els. Just got the pictures last week. maybe ill change up the design, but i daubt it. I have other stuff to work on, like my own site and motion fx.

Design Assassin: I do agree with your latest post more now, I do see your point. I guessed we all post things sometimes without thinking much about it. I do apologies for posting my site here which is against the rules.


Sometimes forums get out of hand. its good to clear up things.

Hope my new work will be more impressive then this.
Design Assassin: If the design was more theme orianted do you still think you would have the same openion about it?
