NoiseLab vs. pointguard :: The Gentle Battle

Hey guys, I'm not too hardcore into image manipulation, but this seems like a good excercise, and just looks fun, from what I've seen I am to come up with some rules for the battle. So here we go :

    1. Same size picture, rotation doesn't matter.
    2. Let's retain an object from the last composition.
    3. Maximum reply time allowed will be 3 days.

And to start off here is my first contribution :

    Go gentle on me !

    Ah forgot one detail.....sources :

    Nice volley!
Why not ask Disc79? I think he's still looking for a challenger?

    Hey...
    Here's my volley...A bit lame I know.
Not too pleased with it as I've rushed this in about 30 or so minutes just now. Forgive my poor effort, I'll take more time over the next one...
    But hope its ok still...
*Sorry, I've lost the stock credit for the palm tree, was from deviantart...

Nice return Point. I have to ask, how did you manage to get that sort of resolution on the buildings in his volley?

you could, but generally you would still have to take something directly from the previous volley.

    Emergency Landing

All right, here we go, I've preserved the water from the Miami Skyline shot and used these following pictures :

Hope you guys like it. I know the "pre-explosion" situation doesn't look anywhere close to being real, but nonetheless, I hope it looks good. I edited the reflection in the pilot's eyes to reflect the colors and such of the things outside of the cockpit window. A little dirt and such in places, wear and tears etc...

    ha hah...i like it...
i like the colours, and the effect of the palmtree leaves on the outside of the cockpit...nice touch!
not too sure about that splodge on the pilots cheek though. Apart from that, the whole thing looks very realistic to me...Nice!

Should have something up soon...Got a lot of work on at the moment, but will have something up by tomorrow. Got an idea cooking...

    Like that image!
Theres little going in in the arena these days that I dont like (apart from my own stuff ... typical)
Great colours and you've blended everything really well. Its practically seemless. My only thought is that the piolot should have more of a "oh bugger" look on his face... He looks too calm.
    Nice job.

Hey thanks ! I agreee on the splat, i realized later on that it kind of lays over everything but decided not to fix it since I already submitted. And Thanks Natsia ! I actually had the same concern, and there is a version I made where his mouth is actually open, but it doesn't add an element of "WTF" to his face just makes him look more "specially challeneged" haha.

    heh, too true!
He looks more like "this is a mere technicality... burning passengers? They are of no consequence, now get me a martini woman!"
Keep up the good work guys!
