Please help me on creating some flash items.

Hi, I am using macromedia flash MX to try to create some rollover text that is clickable to other url.

I manage to create the rollover text using the insert frame function but I realised that if I want to add action, I will have to convert to symbol and then it will lost the rollover effects....

I wish that it could be as easy as creating a clickable rollover text using dreamwaver....But i need to create inside a flash document

Anyone can help me on this or is that a better way?

you have to add a little actionscript onto the button. I also made two layers in your button movie - the last layer, at the top has an invisible graphic area added, because when i rolled over your original, it only changed to red when the mouse went over the text.

Can you please tell me when is the red rectangle for in the 'hit' frame?

The rectangle just gives the button a bigger hit area. If it was not there, when you roll over the text, only the text itself will act as a button and all the gaps in between the text will make the mouse arrow flicker as you roll across the button.
