Pea, i would love to do this, i think it woudl be a great battle. However, I've agreed to battle EVP and take part in the new roll canvas...and it just so happens i've got about 4 projects that i just got in my freelance job that will have me tied up for quite a while.

That is an awesome awesome serve...i can almost guarantee you'll have one of FK's heavyweights take you on with the quality of that.

And speaking of "SERVE OF THE YEAR" ...i really really think we should have a FK arena awards (and it has nothing to do with a similar thread in the coffee lounge) ...this is the only competitive forum on FK, and this could easily be done...it would bring up the quality of both participants, volleys, and overall traffic to the arena. I wouldn't mind coordinating it if everyone wants to do this.

I agree with all the above comments pea. Bravo!

The one thing you could work on however is the text. Its a little blurry in spots and just doesnt fit in somehow. Good work though

Im in the middle of a project that is giving me seizures and need a diversion when my brain is flooded with code. I'll stay within your timeline though.

That's one nice piece of work, pea. I think I have to go with "simply devastating".

Way to put together a prime serve, mate!

I'm gonna beg to differ on this one. I think it fits perfectly with the theme of an old war poster, personally.

Dri, I was really going for the old war poster text layout. I also was aiming to leave an opening for imaginative reasons. Trying to get those juices flowing for whomever excepted. The font blur I have to appologize for. That happened during the "getting ready for the web" process.

3PRIMATES, I would love to have you. I'm working 3 jobs right now, hence the 5 day turn over. So no worries on the wait. I will await your volley. How many rounds would you like to go. I propose 3 not including the serve.?.?

I actually got the inspiration from the imagination battle thread. Thanks JWin. For some reason when I looked at your image way back in this idea popped into my head. It just took me a couple of weeks to get around to putting it together. THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT FEEDBACK GUYS AND GALS!!

Nice serve Pea... one of the best I've seen in a while in the Arena. I can't wait to see this battle between you and 3Primates.

I think Lefteye has a good idea about arena awards. We haven't had the action in here that we once had (think about the heat of O and Fearless' battle), and we need something to pick it up again. I like your suggestion Left .

Hey everyone. I have a quick question. I got the photo of the plain from a government website sometime in the beginning of December from a link given here in the lounge. It had alot of different war time photos. I saved it in my favorites but I think IT may have gotten rid of it. Does anyone know of the link. I know the post had the phrase you owe me one or something like that but I'm not sure what thread it was in. Please if anyone knows the link let me know.

    * found a very broad seach containing the photos but im looking more for the page specifically for these images

hey, this battle was just sent out in the newsletter as 'battle of the week'.
pretty good for a battle that hasn't even technically started.

who picked it? is it automated or something?

Maybe it's based on frequency of posting? All of these posts were made yesterday or today. Seems pretty active to me.
