Open battle. FK Pixel Town
Rules:
Updated - 24 Jan
-Cannot modify someone else's creation, this includes deleting it. Objects can only overlap parts of other objects
-volleys must add to the previous image, let your imagination run free
-added objects must be pixelated (no photos)
-provide a breif description of your creation in your volley post
-image size can be extended from 800x500 (don't go to crazy though)
-submit images as a .png (compression should be avoided to preserve colours and quality)
-Copy the image to your computer rather than copy and paste before editing the file. This preserves colour
so who can build the best friggen pixel town FK has ever seen. Here's the serve. Its not very creative, hopefully someone will volley something better.
I can provide the .psd if necessary
Malee's takeaway restaurant is a nice place to wine and dine with loved ones.

I'm guessing that everyone adds to this, right? So that by the end we have a huge metropolis going on?
Wicked idea Malee. I'd like to join this eventually.

thats cool silver, i'm working on something right now.
the secret's in the shading and lighting lefteye, start with something simple. I'm always constantly zooming in and out when making pixel art, because the smallest change can have a dramatic effect.
this is an excellent image for reference *NOT VOLLEY *
nice link daVulf

thats prime real estate right there.
hey just thought of another rule. try and keep the images .gif, this elimates those jpg compression dots all over the place. So I don't suppose you could update that image jWin to a .gif?

let me know when thats properly giffied, i am ready to lay down my volley
great battle idea BTW, has serious potential.
one concern though: the background is a gradient. The more stuff gets added, the harder it is going to be to try and keep that gradient unbanded. Eventually I expect it will be pretty much impossible, unless we limit the pallete. I'm guessing that's why JWin made his a JPG?

Not sure what you mean, can't you just create a new layer in photoshop and then when your done with your object just merge the layers. Don't save the image to the harddrive, simply copy it and paste it in a new document in photoshop. Hope that helps
EDIT - good to go >flashl!ght<
