£3,000 for a URL? am I being ripped off?

Hi Flashers,

Sorry about the completely unflash related question but I’m sure one of you guys would know this.

I run ecommerce site selling VoIP phone (i-voip.co.uk) and I have been offered one of our best keywords as a url

usbphones.co.uk They have offered this to me for £3,000 ($5500 ish) is this to much and if so what would be a fair price?

Well if you can afford it and if it will help boost your company, I dont see why it wouldnt.

The company I work for now is relatively small, and they wanted to buy a Domain name. The person who owned the Domain didnt use the website at all and yet he wanted to sell it for $10,000.

But anyways, a Url name like usbphones would bring in a lot of traffic since it has two major keywords in there. If it doesnt affect your financial state dishing out $5500 (sorry , dont have the pounds sign ), then i say do it!

Since the time you posted this thread I went out and got usbphones.co.uk from under you. I'll sell it you to for £100,000 ! muhaha

3000 is a bit steep but if you think you will benefit that much more with it than do it!
