The marvel of all history is the patience with which men and women submit to burdens unnecessarily laid upon them by their governments.

To put these types of anti-islam propaganda in a broader perspective, western media is relentless in their pursuit of swaying public opinion in the west. Read this line from CNN and tell me if it isn't loaded with spin.

"German media have reported the technology was intended for Iran, to be used in its Shahab, or Shooting Star, medium-range missile program that can carry a nuclear warhead and reach Israel and various U.S. military bases in the region." Source: http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/europe....ap/index.html

This happens all the time. The reaction that you are seeing isn't due to a single occurence of cartoons meant for humor. In my opinion, accumulating anti-islam propaganda is reaching a boiling point. There is absolutely no need for more. Period.

This debate is about media, protected under free speach, acting wrecklessly, in order to achieve a specific goal. While you might call it humor, others aren't taking it sitting down.

On the Iranians motives for wanting nuclear power, you would have to draw the long bow of gullibility, not to see it for what it is, and given the Iranian presidents recent statements that "Israel should be wiped off the map" and "The end of America is coming" along with other bigoted and fascist statements made recently.......then I guess you are right, they only want it for peacefull purposes

France has over 5 million muslims, and have been very tolerant ( in fact they have been criticized for it )

Cartooninsts take the mickey out of every one and any one, they don't discriminate in that....and yes it was done in humour (I dont agree with the humour, as i dont like it when they do worse with images of jesus etc)

But that's what it was, Muslims are the ones taking it badly, they just have to realise that their beliefs are not above every one elses....religious or not.

Seriously, you're losing me. Are you talking about the cartoons, religion, islam, or Iran's nuclear (energy or weapons depending on what you read) *****ions?

There are plenty of news outlets other than CNN or FOX or BBC......and most of them much better at presenting the news and content than the above..and at the moment thay are saying the same thing on this issue.
    'The same thing' being what???
I'm not that silly to see when some one is trying to bring balance to an argument or an issue, and when some one has a deeper "passion"...it eventualy shows in the comments.
Ther are opposing views in every argument. Everyone obviously has a 'passion' for one side if they are arguing for it.
Look at your last sentence about the UN, US Jews= Global hirachy, and it tells me somenting about your views.
I know what my views are. The question is what you are insinuating with your personal remarks.

Should I break them down for you? I thought it was obvious.

The Iranian regimes intention on their nuclear program, that is what.

Dude...I used the word "passion" for you, to be diplomatic.

I know what my views are. The question is what you are insinuating with your personal remarks.

Listen, I can see when some one is trying to defend their beliefs or views....but you just seem to be going that extra mile on defending the iissue of Muslims taking offense etc, and then when you make statements like UN,US, Jews = Globa hyrachy, you are starting to sound very much like the Islamofascists that you are trying to defend.

So my insinuation is that your views are more extreme than you are making out in your posts.

You are not just making a balanced case about Muslims being offended, your bias sticks out like the proverbial dogs balls.

And lets not get in to the Iran issue, you refuse to see it for what it is, and I'm genuinely sorry that.

It just chesses me off when people try to come across all nice and neutral, all knowing and understanding on these issues.

Yet not long into their posts you start to see that all they are is just typical anti US anti Israel Islamofascist simpathisers.

Sure the Muslims are offended ( These days it seems like they are unhappy about everything and everyone anyway) I don't agree with what those cartoons were trying to portray, as I dont agree when these cartoonists do it with Jesus and Christianity)

But to start marching and calling for the beheading and death to those who drew them is just over the top, ridiculous and childish stupidity.

People worry about Bushs Snoopgate as an attack on their freedom?.....that ain't nothing compared to what is fermenting at the moment in Western countries with Islam.

What you saw this week is just the tip of the iceberg.

Yes you are right, it's also happening in moderate Muslim lands as well....I'd like to know how a minority has such controll over a majority?

Oh, come on, it's been going on since the Crusades. Shouldn't surprise anyone though. Five major religions in the world and one of them can't get along with itself, let alone the others, what would you expect.

But I think it's right to believe that the west is getting a bit tired of being charitable with them. And I don't see all the worry about them having the bomb. They'll probably use it on each other.

Give them a finger and they take the arm, boy don't they push for their rights.

Yeah, but they're bound to be one too many mad as a hatter who will use it on some one else other than themselves.

The whole situation is crap.....I don't mind or care what others believe, but these people feel that thety have a divine right to impose it on others.

Some Mullah is Norway is now pushing for a "Blasphemy" Law to be passed to protect the minorities from being offended.

What about increasing the Rape sentences for rapes comitted on Norwegian women by Moroccan Mulsim men...it's on the rise by over 40%.

If u live in the US, would u worry about osama having nuclear weapon? I would

"I'd like to know how a minority has such controll over a majority?"

weapons and fears, the old Iraq for example.

Thats what I also wonder my friend..how a minority can control a majority (jews controlling US and some other places around the world) isn't it ironic..and I would never understand the americans..they are fearing someone who is living in the caves 100000 miles away from them..its all psychological..americans should care more about their own land..look what they did to all the poor black people in New Orleans...anyways this is an endless debate...but we all ve 'freedom of speech' lolz

Not personally. I don't live anywhere near a city worth bombing. In my colder moments, I sort of hope Iran gets a bomb and a missile to launch it at any US territory it can reach.

I grew up watching Kruschev beating a microphone with his shoe, Kennedy facing him down a little later, and I've seen Dr. Stranglove 15 times. I'm totally imune to worry about the bomb, burned out, you know? Still, since those Kennedy days, it's part of our national heritage that if anyone bombs us, we'll retaliate to the point that Iran won't have two stones left to stack on top of each other. It'll be glass, and the world will have learned yet another lesson to ponder about poking a bear in the ass with a stick.
