I am very glad i found this thread. Im a very novice photographer, but i love it. (yes, i get the strange looks when im lying in the garden shooting a flower upside down.)

I have a Canon Powershot (something) Im not even sure what it is called... It was given to me for my 21st b'day and i havent stopped using it since.

I'll get my act together though and see what i can come up with for the next theme?
    when are the themes posted?

    hello

the themes were originally weekly, but have got less and less frequent of late (gives more people the chance to post something i guess!). i don't think the new themes are posted at any particular time- just as and when EVP gets round to it i think and once the old theme has run it's course.

i'm hoping a new one will pop up soon actually....

look forward to seeing some of your photos.

Yeah, now that I have some theme ideas I should be able to get back to a weekly schedule. That was really the hardest part.

    Here's mine.

    Info:
    Camera: Canon EOS 350D
    Lens: Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM
    Shutter Speed: 1/125 sec.
    Aperture: f/2.8
    ISO: 200

Post processing: Minor tonal adjustments, pushed the saturation a little, and slightly sharpened with unsharp mask.

I think what he means is that no one can really tell what it is. I am also wondering what was actually in focus? Just curious...

It's dead pine needles. And I guess you could see it as out of focus, but I thought it looked too cliche having the focus on the tips of the needles.

Accidental? Did you drill a whole for a dowel and hit the waterpipe?
Nice waterfall you got there...if I were you I would not take a bath anymore, just shower!
