Adobe Bundles
I hate these! Why can't they make one that I want?
I have PhotoShop CS1 and Studio MX2004.
I want (in order of importance)....
DW8
Flash 8
PhotoShop CS2
Illustrator CS2
I am thinking InDesign would be good to have, but really I only design small brochures and 1 up ads... I can get away with using Illustrator and PhotoShop doing this, I have been doing ok to this point, but InDesign would be nice.
option 1. So I am thinking Studio 8 Upgrade + Creative Suite 2 standard.
The only difference I can tell between Standard and Premium is Acrobat Professional 7 (which would be nice for me) and GOLIVE?? WTF?
So now I am at $1,199. + $399 = $1,598
option 2 Now I could go with the
Web Bundle - inludes CS Premium US$1,899.00
option 3 Or I could just upgrade Photoshop, get Studio 8 and Illustrator
$169.00 + $399 + $499.00... $1,067.
actually this number is looking the most attractive to me at the moment.
I wish they would tighten up some of these bundles, get rid of Go Live.
I just find figuring out my software purchases frustrating.
What should I get?

There are other ways to get it...
Or, you can get a student version like I used to get for 3D Studio Max. It was free...

Jesus man! They haven't even integrated websites yet! Patience, please.

PhotoShop CS2 - Must!
Illustrator CS2
DW8
Flash 8
InDesign - nice but not necessary
Unfortunately I must jump platform as well to keep things fun.
I may for now just jump the photoshop cross platform with the upgrade and wait for the rest of the scrud to settle in the merger.

but they have integrated product lines, which is bs. I bought both suites seperatly before the merger and got a handfull of useless apps on both sides. Does anyone actually use imageready?
Why the hell can't we just make our own bundle by choosing individual apps and then get an applied discount?
If you can at all hold out admedia, wait for the next versions.

Yea, maybe I will just chill and wait for the dust to settle over there...
it seems a bit discombobulated at the moment and understandibly so.
Let them figure out how they are going to effectively merge their product lines instead of just throwing GoLive and FireWorks into a bundle with PhotoShop ImageReady and DreamWeaver.
I guess I can keep getting by with what I have... just some of the new features like collapsable code look nice and I have been patient (notice my current versions).

You're only 1 version back though admedia, there is not a ton of differences. I also suggest you wait a while for things to calm down.

I agree...they need to make a custom pack where you choose which products that you want and then give you a certain percent off depending on how many you purchase.

I'm not that hard to imitate. Just make some random negative claim at Apple or anything else for that matter and then have nothing to back it up.

mf'n genius. An Adobe/Macromedia pick-n-choose within reason.
Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, AfterEffects, Dreamweaver.

So who's going to get a job at MM so we can get this idea implemented?

They'll probably steal the idea in order to obtain "job security"
