    Site re-design (complete overhaul)

    http://www.uniq-id.us

I decided that my site should become more of a portfolio site. Instead of trying to be a design studio. I'm feelance, not a studio. A portfolio is all I really need.

OK...with that being said...here is the structure for the site.

I went for simplicity with some effects and a mini animation/intro.

    1. Site is 90% SWiSHmax

    2. Flash 8 is the sky movie (10% not SWiSH)
-Screen captures of stock footage (18 captures)
-Each capture pasted into Photoshop on its own layer (18 layers)
-Exported PSD file as a SWF using ImageReady
-Imported SWF into Flash 8 and then distributed as layers
-Made the frame rate 30 fps, with each layer set to 5 frames
-I ended up with a 3 sec. loop

    3. Everything else was done using SWiSHmax.

I have preloaders, although I rarely see them. Since I have broadband Internet access.

Please let me know how this loads, if you are on a dial-up connection.

Even better, tell me where I can go online to virtually test my site using a online resource that enables you to test your site at dial-up speeds.

    Best regards,

    Chad

I am on Cable and I did not see any "Sky Animation"

Client Work only put out “Print Design and Web Design” both of which had nothing in them.

Overall it seems a bit dark…… But once you get more on it, then it should be ok. Right now there is not much to critique.

I also didn't see any sky animation using DSL. I wonder if you can move the site up ever so slightly as it causes the user to have to scroll for no real apparent reason except for spacing. I'm using Firefox as my browser.
    Nice site, though!
