    Favorite Old TV Shows

I didn't want to hijack PAlex's thread, so I figured I'd start a new one.

What are some of the TV shows you watched growing up?

Go to Retro Junk for inspiration...

Post only shows you watched regularly as a youngling mmkay?:

Hey Dude (awful show looking back, but I had the hots for Melody)
    Cosby Show
    Different Strokes
    Perfect Strangers
Nick at Night (Mr. Ed, Patty Duke, other 50's crap)
My Two Dads (looking back, definitley something fishy going on there)
Saved by the Bell (was probably too old to be watching it)
Today's Special (great Canadian TV! Watched everyday before Kindergarten)
Alf (stupidest concept that worked ever)
    Inspector Gadget
Charles in Charge (mostly for Nicole Eggert)
    Growing Pains (so cheesy)
    Webster
    Mr. Belvedere
    The Jeffersons
    Mork and Mindy
    Sesame Street (so mindless)
    The Facts of Life
    Night Court
    227
Family Ties (one of the cheesiest intros of the 80's.."shaalaaalaaa laaaaa")
Head of the Class (the fat guy was funny)
    Mr. Wizards World
Golden Girls (yea I said it, Sofia was hilarious)

Some of these shows were just awful. I watched WAY too much tv as a kid.

Night Court - I wanted to be so like John Larroquette's character... "You know that sign above McDonald's?" "I'm their closest competition."
    Transformers
    Dr. Who
Mork and Mindy - Honestly, that's the reason why I went to school in Boulder. Seriously.
    T.J. Hooker
The Dukes of Hazzard - yep, imagine being a black kid in NJ with a rebel flag on your cake at a park for your b-day. I still remember the faces only recently to understand why.
Hawaii Five-O - if anything, it was for the hula dancer in the opening credits.
Magnum P.I. - I so wanted a mustache at the age of 5.
    SCTV
Bizarre - the last two, both Canadian, used to get them both on WPIX. Bizarre was the home of Super Dave Osbourne.
Carl Sagan's Cosmos - yep, early space nerd.
    Incredible Hulk
Lost in Space - the repeats people... just the repeats.
    Dangermouse

I kind of jacked my own thread before, (someone's going to edit that quote, I just know it), but as a kid I loved Square One TV. I still use the rule I learned about multiplying by nine from there.

The result is a 2 digit number, the first digit is 1 less than the number you multiplied, the second digit is the remainder to add to the first digit get 9.

I'm going to name the oldest shows from my memory that are cancelled now, because anything else will be 'new' to you old folk.

-It was a show about an Airport, I think it was called Wings? I'm not too sure.
-And then there were two guys, a girl, and a pizza place
    -Twilight Zone. LOVED those reruns.
    -A Team

    Violently <<shuddering>> in disgust.

Maybe TV hasn't gotten any worse than it was then.

I love 'wonder years' because I grew up in these wonder years.
But the show which influenced me most was British, called 'the prisoner' with Patrick McGoohan. Started with a man running, turning around and shouting: "I'm not a prisoner, I'm a free man!".

As some of you already know, Danica took a hiatus from acting for college, and she graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics! While she was there, she even co-authored a math proof - new research proving an original math theorem - highly unusual for an undergraduate.
    Well whaddaya know!
