    Bubble with real-time distorting?? (Example)

    http://www.sonyericsson.com/cebit/flash.html

How in the WORLD did they do this?! I didn't know Flash was capable of distorting things in real-time like that! If you mouse over a button in the bubble, the button still activates and everything. It isn't a seperate mask because it actually distorts spherically... It would be absolutely awesome to find out how they did this.

Here is a link that explains the magnifying glass
    http://www.freehandsource.com/_test/lens.html

the effect is the same ..
you can use a bubble symbol instead of the lens and have it float around
    instead of draging it.

    Have a play
If someone tells you it can't be done,
it's probally because they don't know how.

I do understand the magnifying glass technique, but if you look closely at the bubbles in the Sony Ericsson site, the image behind it gets spherically distorted rather than simply enlarged... Look at the bubble as it passes over one of the straight vertical or horizontal lines, for example. Any other ideas on how they did this..?

I agree with deadbeat on this one.

There's no easy solution to this in versions below Flash 8.
