help - movie clip coordinates

trying to figure out movie clip coordinates.
what is the registration point?
do the coordinates scale when the movie clip is scaled?
and are there any tutorials?

The 0,0 is the top left hand side of the movie, however the registration point is the little cross generally in the middle. I therefore like to line my movies up to the 0,0 of the clip. This allows me to concentrate on my starting values being 0,0,....logical

there are also co-ordinates for clips and for the stage.

yes the registration point will change on scaling (depending on where the graphics of a clip are aligned to).
