    Importing music Error?

    I just got Flash 8 and I always get an error message whenever I try to import any music to the Library. I havent used flash since Flash 5 so Im a bit confused right now ^^;

    im not very sure of all the types of sound files you can use inside flash

    but i know that you can use .wav's and .mp3's
    based from experience i think the best format for sound files inside flash is at 44000hz and pcm-16 bit.

    that comes out best for me...

    or you can look it up in the help which files you can upload =]

    How are you importing? Clicking and dragging doesn't work. If you click and drag to the stage, you get an error message; if you click and drag to the library panel, it creates a new Flash Document with the sound in it.

    Press [ctl]+R, or use file->import->import to library.


    And, yes, like patricklara said, you can only import wav's and mp3's.

    Yeah the file is an MP3 and Ive tried File->Import and Ctl+R and Im still getting an error message.
