FK's Official Mac Hater
Apple vs. The Beatles
Link
Apple Corps Ltd., the Beatles' record company and guardian of the band's musical heritage and business interests, is suing Apple Computer Inc., claiming the company violated a 1991 agreement by entering the music business with its iTunes online music store.
At issue is a 1991 pact that ended a long-running trademark fight between the two Apples in which each agreed not to tread on the other's toes by entering into a "field of use" agreement over the trademark.
So apparently Apple agreed a long time ago to never do anything in the music world...this is the second time that the Beatles have sued them and the first time they won...

I'm not that hard to imitate. Just make some random negative claim at Apple or anything else for that matter and then have nothing to back it up.

Yeah this goes back a long way, including why one of the error sounds on Mac is called Sosumi (so-sue-me).
No normal, caring person has ever confused the Beatles Apple Corps with Apple computer. Most people don't even know that there is a record label called Apple.
This is the only way Apple Corps. can make any money now, by sucking it out of other companies. Apple computer aren't exactly going to change their name or logo, are they?

good. I hope they keep suing apple. and suing. and wasting money. and destroying mac and ipods and anything else thats white with a partially eaten apple.

I can't believe this is still going on.
The irony of it all is that Apple Corp. was originally worried about the fact that someone was playing a chord on a computer, and that AFAIK it's 2006 and not a single online store has a digital Beatles catalog.
Apple Corp. needs to end this nonsense.

I forgot about that! The day that you can buy a Beatles album on iTunes will be when hell freezes over...*
*That's an iTunes/Windows joke if you can remember that far back...

sounds like they are trying to force apple(the computer one) to have to buy their rights.

Apple had tons of celebs pose for ads. The office walls in Elk Grove, CA. are covered with them.

I honestly don't think John would want anyone to use any image of himself (particularly that one) to advertise for a captitalist organization.

Neither would Che Guevara, but his likeness is sold on shirts all over.

Im pretty sure John would have been a mac user. And I wasnt aware that he was a Communist. Is that true?

I supported Reagan, Bush Sr. as a young republican while in grade school. Doesn't mean I supported all of their agendas.
met them, shook hands, even talked to both of them too.
