    Hi

I was looking at a site http://www.matinee.co.uk and i really liked the style of the 3d animation they had going in the site (spinning thingy and tube thingies)....So as i'm new to 3D in Flash i thought i'd ring the contact number and ask if they could give me some clues on how they did it.......Of course (the reason why i'm here) they would'nt tell me.

Can anyone checkout the site and give me a tip on how they might have done it ? Its really cool so its worth the visit anyway.

    Thanks in advance
    Jamie

My guess is that they used Swift 3d and a combination of Freehand 9.0, this looks like the case. Cheers, Steve

Oh by the way, if you want a different contact number to a certain site, because the number you are calling won't give you any answers, go to: http://www.networksolutions.com, and click on the WHOIS database, then enter the URL. Whaaallla you've got their registered number. Cheers Steve

It was more than likely created in 3D Max and renderd in Vecta or illistrate. The site was up a bit before Swift came on the scene and since they were not part of the beta team. Only Vince, Triadis, and Mano were the beta testers for Swift. Some parts look like they are raster images like the swish in and out. Its a bitmap with a motion blurr. If you want to see some real impressive 3D check out http://www.flashfilmfestival.com and look at the 3D finalists. Vince is one of them with his http://www.wackedusa.com site Regards, Bill
