n00b question
Is there anyway to make an object 'hide' for one frame and return in the next?
-
Also is it possible to make something fade in similar to the effects that SwishMax has?

Hey dude ~
Instead of double-posting as you did, just hit the Edit button on the bottom right of your post and add whatever you forgot the first time around.
You can't technically hide something...using the Show/Hide checkbox on the Object page, anyway...but you can effectively do the same thing by setting the scale to zero on the frames where you don't want the object to be visible.
As for fading something in, you might be able to achieve the effect you want by animating the Material from fully transparent to fully opaque. This won't work with bitmap materials though, since you can't make them transparent.

Sorry about the double posting.
Where and how would I achieve a transparancy effect in Swift, I can't seem to find it in the menu.
And thank you btw for the quick reply.

To animate a Material, you do it just like you would animate an object. Set the Current Frame Indicator on the frame where you want the object to be fully opaque and drag the Material that you want onto it. Then go back to the frame where you want the Material to be fully transparent and drag the same Material onto it. Next double-click the Material preview window on the left side of the screen and it will bring up the Material Editor. Drag the transparency slider all the way to the right and hit OK.
You want to do all of this with the Animate button active.
