dont know what is bootie, but more of it sounds nice.

i'd brign more bright colors for the background, so the piece would stand out more. and the type?

    but yea, bring more bootie

jujumon, yeah you're right- brighter colours would have been much better. damn it.

re the font, what's wrong with it? i thought it was about right for a record label?!

no Nat, its my english ( my guess bootie = groovy?)

the type does not sit well. . As u can see, the white part of the record has different levels but the types does not change its effect, eg. the word "sometimes", therefore the types look like its floating on top of the record. sorry, hard to explain. The "A" also does not look right.

to put it simply: it's like u tried to make the types to look like its "printed" on the record, but u did not achieve the effect, not fully.

    just what i think

ok extricate, no problem about being busy, i'm in no hurry.

advance warning: i am going to be away from 1 july for 2 weeks, so either we will tie things up before then or we will need to take a break for a bit.... see how it goes i guess

Nats....around Seattle we spell it like "Bootay" but I believe it's usually "booty". Or like E40 says - "She's big enough to set a cup on her boot."

    sanchezz, welcome to the arena.

Make sure you read the Arena forum rules first to get a feel for what is going on here. This isnt an "open battle" so that means it is only between a few people; not anybody who wants to make something

You would probably like to post in on of the open battles in the arena first (like this one) but make sure you read the rules for it first.

Extricate, I love the concept. I think possibly a better wall paper could have been found, one that didn't clash as much. The picture frame is pretty cool though.

this isn't quite what i had in my head, and it turned out a bit uneventful again- sorry!!

i swear i my next one will be more exciting.

note: on my work PC, which this was done on, i only have the standard system fonts and so my typograhy is somewhat limited by this at the moment.

EDIT: MODS- A TITLE CHANGE MIGHT BE NICE

I had an entire 4 volley each battle with Pea that lasted about a month and we still haven't gotten a title change .

About the image... I'm forced to agree with your own reservations about this image. It looks plain, and duplicated. You can tell all of the plugs/sockets are exactly the same, save for the one without a plug. The typography is lacking at best, and although I understand what you mean about not having the resources, sometimes no text is best.

I think overall, regardless of your location, you need to take more time on your images. Maybe browse through more stock, maybe spend more time conceptualizing, but I think spending more time will help your volleying.
