    Windows live messenger

    Anyone using it? What are your thoughts so far?

    I've been using it since it's early beta stages and i've liked it a lot all along. I think it looks nice and i've always liked the functionality in Microsofts IM client.

    I'm not that hard to imitate. Just make some random negative claim at Apple or anything else for that matter and then have nothing to back it up.

    Open up task manager for me and see how much memory its using... please.

    Can you switch off all the winks, popups and all that crap too? My current msn (when I use it) has everything disabled, from tabs to smilies and that handwriting crap in the message windows.

    Ah, these boys is all swelled up. So this was earlier...getting set to trade. Then, woooaaah differences.

    i use it and love it for its sharing folder. you can use some free software to disable many of its useless stuffs such as ads, tabs,..etc.

    It's using 14 MB for me right now. If you want to strip out some of the features that you don't want, you might want to check out the Mess patch from http://www.mess.be. I'd post a link to the direct page but they don't allow it.

    Yeah, I know about mess ta... I was just asking if you could turn the "features" off as you can with current msn etc...

    it initializes really slow on my machine, and it leeks eeeeeeeeeeeeverywhere

    Thanks... I'll avoid it... I thought it looks quite nice though... the dark themes I've seen.

    i havent looked at the themes, but the only new feature i liked/noticed was the grouping of messages in the convo window.
