EVP v. 3Primates :: No Women Allowed!

It's been a while since I served, thought maybe I'd change up the style a little bit while I'm at it.

Now the theme only means no females in the images. I'd be honored to battle any of the women of FK...

Rulez:

Rounds: 3
Rotation: NO!
Theme: No Women Allowed.
Size: 800px wide x 530px high
Must use an element of previous image.

I think the text+lightning is my favorite bit. Something about the over saturation of the reds also makes it sit well.

That image is great!
What I like about it is the overall composition and the lighting. I love the little "too pooped to pump", (made me chuckle!)
*In my schoolboy humour...

Looking forward to the battle. Images like that inspire me and make me wanna throw something together as well...*opens up photoshop*

Nice serve EVP. I'm not a super huge fan of the type treatment on the left or the lightning, but everything else is spot on. The colour, the mood, the other typography.. Stunning work to say the least.

Really nice work mang, I can't wait to see where this one takes us.

This is way outside of my normal style.

Don't take this the wrong way 3P... but that is one odd segue. I mean... ODD.

But I like it dude. It's almost videogame-ish, yet you kept small details like the grated roof casting an accurate shadow and the shadows are all done very well - but there's no shadow for the tree nor back part of the house. I'm not a fan of the font choice - it looks too mechanical/perfect despite being distressed a bit.

This image... just an odd style that I'm actually liking. Nice job.

LOL, thanks. Yeah its a far stretch from my normal style. Matter of fact, I dont think I have ever done anything like this. Kind of strange looking, but oddly captivating.
Yeah, I figured as much on the fonts. I was going to change them but was running short on time. I needed to do some client work and couldnt spend anymore time on this one volley. Yeah, Iwish I would have finished up the detail work.

totally agreed.

and i really agree with gerbick- when i first looked at it i immediately thought of video games, not sure of which specifically- just has that feel to it.

and EVP, i loved your serve. that's also an interesting style. i love the lighting and colours. the only thing which bothered me slightly was the 'M' of 'STORM' overlapping the text on the building. but other than that i loved everything about it.

will definitely be checking this thread often
