Hi,
I dont think your site is horrible, but it is a bit on the basic side. I really love your traditional portfolio. I would love to see your artistic side come out in your portfolio site. Something like number six from the top in traditional artwork (flower inking) would look great as a base for your portfolio. Have the inking as the backdrop with blurred areas for content, and then add color to the inking for special situations.
Overall your site now is just a bit bland and does not show off your artistic talent.
