    Looking for: Pixie/Fairy Dust tut.

    Hi gang, I remember some time back (years even) I found a tutorial on how to make pixie/fairy dust (sparkles) effects....

    While I have found only a few alternatives ones.. Im sorta looking for this particular one, It used an Adjustment layer (Color Balance) in its steps.

    Thanks

    I can't help point you to an existing tut, but can you link to the kind of pixie dust you are trying to replicate?

    Well.. I can create pixie dust (so to speak).....I was more or less looking for that specific tut I guess.. for soem reason i thought it had some 'special' way to add the color dodge/adjstment layer (but I could be wrong..and all in my head) hahaha

    but for example... the sparkles/pixie/fairy dust that I made in this image:

    brush options ->scatter->fade->hardness

    then use your pen tool to set a path and then go to path->stroke path, then duplicate layers and overlay/blend as needed.

    I'd imagine you could give the pixie dust layer an 'Outer Glow' layer style, and put the glow blending mode on Screen or Linear Dodge. Just play around with it.

    hi wouter999-

    I can replicate it..(and make it like in my previous work I did)...however.. (for some reason) I seem to think this tutorial had something going on with adjustment layers..etc..etc

    hence my post/request for that tutorial.

    Thanks

    Thumbs up

    Hi Pixiedust searcher....came across tut prior to finding this site. URL is:

    http://www.webdesign.org/photoshop/s...ight.3639.html

    Know how frustrating it can be when you can't find what you're looking for.

    Happy dusting!

    P.S. If you know of a site that teaches floating fairy lights, let me know.
