    Flash animation to video...

    Flash animation to video...

I have a project in front of me that requires me to make a animated character over a film being made by the client using a fictional character.

I was wondering, do you think it's a better idea to do the animation in flash with the video playing in the background OR do the animation in flash with the video playing only as a guide, and then export the animation when im done with the video removed and replaced with a green bg and then chromakey it out to an avi file and import to premiere and composite my animation into the video?

Also, does anyone know if you can export flash with an alpha channel as a video? or is it only that alpha channel video can be exported into flash?

    Thanks ahead,

I move thread to video. That may be a better forum to answer this question.

Bare in mind that I have no experience in this whatsoever but I would think the latter.
I don't think flash supports export of avi alpha information, but surely this wouldn't be neccessary if you were to key it in premiere anyway

I did this once. Its easier than you think. Import your video into flash and draw overtop using your video as a guide. When you're done, remove the guide video and export the frames as .png image files. Import the images into premier and lay them out in order on the timeline, alpha channel intact. No need to key.
