    editing local files through flash

i'm wondering if there's any way for flash or javascript through flash to dynamically create/edit local xml/text files. i know about using xml.send() to send xml to be written by a server-side application, and about using jsfl for editing local files during authoring, but i cannot find the answer to this question! is there any way to do this? through ajax... or anything?

    thanks so much.

Maybe ZINC is something for you
There is "actionally" a truth to be found in flash.

Note that Zinc (and other similar 3rd party tools) only works for standalone projector files, not for a SWF served from the web...
