    37 Signals on Apple.com

Seriously don't turn this into a computer bashing thread. Just some interesting insight from some top third party Apple programmers.

What was weak about it? It doesn't really tell you too much I am sure a lot of you already know. Just interesting to see an interview with such a highly known, but at the same time unknown company.

Only thing that bothered me watching it, which there is also a comment over on the digg thing about it. Is how in the beginning they do that whole light/elevator sequence making them seem like some numetal band in a new music video

This is a highly produced PR piece for apple. 37 Signals were all too happy to get all mushy for the camera. Nothing against them, I'd have done it too.
Dude, my love afair with macs started 13 years ago (18 if you count my 8th grade computer class). All I wanted was for apple to gain at least a 50% market share so that new equipment would be affordable. A respectable workstation back then could easily hit $7000. I had allowed pieces like this get my hopes up numerous times only to see apple do something incredibly stupid or not do something incredibly obvious. I remember a halo promo while in eeearly development a lot like this one. I just cant get excited anymore.

They are doing quite well now though.

I remember when I had cable, I had cinemax, and on thursdays at night (I think) they used to pass this short playboy videos of a girl talking about her hobbies and where she grew up and all that, with a crappy background music, and while she was talking suddenly they showed scenes of her wearing only her own skin, and back to her talking and all that....somehow, this 'interview' reminded me of that

Why because it seems like in the end of the video the guys are going to start making out?

I think you're right Gerbick. I just watched his interview on Colbert.

He probably wrote that entire book in half an hour.

Wannabe - I think we was behind the desk so he could showcase the infrared keyboard.

I'm not that hard to imitate. Just make some random negative claim at Apple or anything else for that matter and then have nothing to back it up.

I'm not saying that RUBY isn't a language. Ruby is a language. Ruby on Rails is a framework. You said

    ROR doesn't equal Ruby. ROR=Ruby on Rails=Framework.

This company developed Ruby on Rails using Ruby (which they didn't develop).
