I need to do that! I think this summer I will finally get around to it. For my 21st I think...

Since you are by yourself I presume you have your license? How many jumps have you done and what kind of expenses are attached to it all? A tandem jump with a professional attached to your back with only an hour of training is $200 here in VT. But that seems like it wouldn't be the same as jumping alone.

Yes, I do have my license.. I have over 2000 jumps.. Jumping since 1991.. I do if for a job now.. Thanks to the US Army... If you do a tandem, that price is about right.. Learning skydive is much more expensive.. Then you have to buy or rent gear.. It can be anywhere from $1000-5000.
Its a thrill that you have to try.. Well worth the money..

plus the $2000s on your head.

Yes, but wouldn't suggest anyone taking up freefall photography until you have at least 200 jumps or more.. Takes time to understand freefall concepts, let alone worrying about correct composition, lighting, settings, angles, and all the other photography and video functions needed to know to take great pictures and video.. .

was thinking this myself, lol

anyone else hear that?
I know this is last years thread, but I was going back through it from the link in this year's pics and thought I would answer this question for anyone that still cares...
Lots of camera fliers wear their still & video cameras upside down so that when you fly on your back or head-down, the pictures and video come out right-side up...
Love like you've never been hurt, live like there's no tomorrow and dance like nobody's watching.
