My mission is, with a team, create a website that has many flash games that are
reviewed, and include screen shots, and more. It will be modeled after Gamespot or other video game websites, except it will be made about only flash games.
Other Information -
This will not be like a employer/employee situation. The volunteers an I will work together in planning the website, and adding input. I am planning to create a board to discuss things about the website on. If you have any questions or input, post it on this thread. You may also apply on this thread. Just give me your email.
Yes, it's a great idea you have here (why hasn't anyone done it before?). Sounds like a little money spinner too.
I'd love to contribute with reviews and such, possibly even do up some graphics for ya.
HOWEVER, before I start investing my, show us some goods like the man says-
widger...what are you bringing to the project, how old are you, what have you got to showcase of your previous work??
-
Let's hear a little bit about yourself and also provide us with a link to what you've done so far, if anything. Have to warn you though, in all honesty if you lack experience or if you're a kid, there's not much chance of getting Flashkit members to help you out unless you've already made an impressive start.
Superb idea though, . Now I suggest you get cracking on it soon, before someone nicks it

WHAT I WILL BE BRINGING TO THE WEBSITE -
I will be creating ALL the graphics for the website, I will also help review games. I will bring the ideas to the website with help of the other volunteers on the board. I will make it easy for the web specialist to create the site by making many different views of the website, I will layout every page, all the web specialist has to do is put it together in a website.
AGE - 15
WORK -
This is just some of the stuff I work on. I have tried to make websites by myself, and failed because of my lack of HTML/CSS knowledge. I like to play around and this is the stuff I came up with in the last years.

Unfortunately I am a kid... but I have made a big start in planning the site... It would only take me a few days to get all the graphics done... and then we could go from there...
With no navigation bar I get the feeling the site will be hard to navigate through

Fit it along the top next to the logo, and maybe a smaller one right at the bottom. (Help - About us - Contact us etc.) And check your email

I'd do some reviews (sounds like fun) I'm only 14 though so that's a minus on my side but i'm predicted A/A* on all topics. :P Me = Geek

15? Ah, don't sweat it, that's old enough. I was talking like, 12. Besides Vengeance has shown me that young or not, age has no reference on talent.
Well, you've convinced me. Whip yourself up the website with a database and when I see that done I'll write you a few reviews. You can catch plenty of my writing and website building skills here.
I'm happy to do some reviews too, if this thing gets off the ground then i'll check it out. Hope it works...if there is some small bits that need doing I might be able to help out but I can't commit cos i'm busy all the time!
- what does a review consists of? (how many screenshots their size, how does the rating works, ...
- how are games compared (e.g categories, ranks,...)
- copyright: are some games only linked externally, info on the author,...
also the design(s) are to much apple aqua/ eye candy trend genre- designs like those are to common nowadays (usually white gradient to fake carbon/ plastic effect).
Have you thought about if your design is usefull when you have more than 100 reviews to visiualize it rather looks like a recently added section - but I would rethink that part if it had to be the front page.

I'm working on this online game. I don't have anything to show, since I'm still in the starting stages of it, but when it's done, it needs a home. Would you be interested in making your site have one, main, featured game, then the rest is reviews? I'm working on my game 24/7 right now. I hope to have a BETA soon.

I will answer those questions in a little while... if you want to help in any way... just send a message to Dereksensenig@juno.com. I will put you on a list, and send you an email when I get a planning board up. Thanks for the help everyone.
