    linking from video stream

    I am a basic flash user. I have a video stream as FLV that will be embedded in a website. The video stream discusses 8 separate people that have profiles within the website. I am looking for a way to have each section of the video clickable/linkable so that when the user clicks on a certain section of the video as it plays, it will link them directly to the particular profile the video is discussing. The stream is currently embedded as an FLA, will this have to change to SWF to make it work?

    Thanks in advance.

    The most simple approach would be to embed a .swf and use the getURL command. Place one of the following on the button.

    Code:
    // on release go to HTML page with main page
    on (release) {
    	getURL ("person01.html","_self")
    }

    // on release go to HTML page in new window
    on (release) {
    	getURL ("person01.html","_blank")
    }
    If you have a look at the Flash forum you will find more in depth ways to achieve what you need.
