Thread: 2 newbie questions.

I have a couple of questions to ask of the community out there.

What is the best book for the COMPLETE actionscript novice to become familiar with the language for flash 5?

I have no previous flash experience on any version and have never learned a programming language. My site http://www.biotech.freeserve.co.uk/sotia/main.swf is about as far as I can take it without learning the dreaded actionscript so I need some help taking the very first steps to go alongside the Flashkit tutorials. Absolutely nothing complicated whatsoever, please

And also, how do I make an email link using flash 5? Is it as simple as the 'Get URL' action or do I have to do something more profound?

Thanks in advance for your help

    Thanks Kirill

I can't actually find a mailto command in actions. Which section do I need to look under (ie basic actions etc)?

    Thanks

Many thanks, Kirill. Just the info I needed.

Does anyone have any reccomendations for a worthwhile book for the absolute actionscript (or any programming) begginer (version 5)
