    flash unexpectedly closes

    Hi,

Flash 8 Professional on a iMac. I've had this problem before and i cant remember how it was fixed - had to call adobe - but every time i try to export a file or publish it, flash just closes suddenly. I recall its something to do with a corrupt file - any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

    Theo

EDIT - found the solution - had to rename a configuration file somewhere amongst the folders....stupid thing...

is nobody able to help? Am i really the only person in the entire forum to have this problem? I am waiting for Adobe support to call me back - i cannot do any work until they do! I have found that if i try and export a file with actionscript in it - even as simple as stop(); - it will "unexpectedly close" but if its a file without any actionscript - blank or with a shape in or something - it is fine. So Flash is struggling with actionscript. That's just great.

Have you tried rebuilding the disc with discwarrior? Did you repair the permissions? Did you delete Flash and reinstall it?
