    [F8] Mouse rollover

When the mouse is hovered on the button, i want a little message to display what it is (just like using any windows/Office packages)For example, in MS Word, if u put your mouse over the 'paste' icon, it will say "paste"

Any ideas how to do this?

well, draw your button, select the button and press F8. A menu should pop up. Select the button bullet point and click ok. Now, double click on your button. The timeline should have changed. Make a keyframe under the bit that says "over", then write whatever you want next to your button. Double click outside the button and press ctrl+enter to test your movie.

Thank u for your reply. Little stuck. I can see 'over' and made a keyframe. How or where do you write the text? In the AS bit at the bottom?

no. Just write it anywhere on the stage. when you move the mouse over, flash will automaticly make whatever is drawn desplay on that keyframe.
