I really need to look more into the process of dodging and burning. I know most of what goes on but I must be missing something.

Same here! Every so often I tell myself I'm going to work on a photo and its textures with dodge and burn and then I start and I just can't figure out what I'm supposed to be dodging and burning.

MattPriestley - your photo is stunning, if you have the time/want to share secrets, would love know how you achieve that finish.
