Delirium Tremens - heavy triple fermented Belgian beer

Moeder Overste - Belgian amber ale, double fermented

    Hoegaarden Grand Cru

Tripel Karmeliet, with possibly the most gorgeous beer glass available

Aventinus - four of these will get any beast incredibly drunk (11.5% alcohol volume I think)

Those are my favourite special beers, they're pretty much all Belgian I think. Belgians rule. When it comes to pilsener, I'm quite fond of Grolsch and Brand Urtyp Pilsener.

I trump your Aventinus with Samichlaus (14%)

I've had a few - they're actually pretty gross, but hit you like a truck.

Friend of mine picked a couple up for me while in NY. I actually haven't opened them yet but he says they're kinda nasty.

    see avatar.

I was JUST next door to their brewery in London Ontario not more than 5 minutes ago. They've got a distribution store right next to it and i thought i'd died and gone to heaven. All BLUE everywhere....too bad it's double the price in Canada as it is when it's imported into the states. I mean...$11.50 for a six pack...i can buy the same thing at any grocery store in NY for $4.50 with tax and deposit. And what's up with canada only selling at beer stores??? What a crock of crap. damn government.

So-called wife beater juice in reference to its 5% ABV, which when it was introduced (in the UK) was higher than most available lagers.

Yeah, Stella's good, Guinness is good (for you - though the iron content is not as high as everyone thinks it is).

Like wooter, I like the Belgians, though after the first two glasses of anything, what does it matter? You may as well switch to Stella/Grolsch/Heineken/Krony 'cause it all tastes the same after you've had the first few glasses.
