Seen the tutorials but can't get it to fit my application...

Ok, I am making a very simple animation where text floats out of flames I have created. The flames consist of 4 individual .png files that I animate in sequence frame by frame. I need the flames to continue animating even after the flash movie has stopped animating. I have seen tutorials that show certain ways of doing this, but they involve manipulating 1 image. I need the animation sequence for the flames to just continually loop. Am I missing something? Thanks for your help.

Every movie clip has its own timeline. So :

    1. right click on one of your flame.png files and tell flash to convert it to a movieclip
    2. double clip into that new movieclip and you will see a new timeline. You can then place your flame animation inside that.

This flame movieclip will animate separate from your other clips. I attached a very simple example for you to check out.
