    Lightbulb saving a state

    Hi
    I am currently not much into flash but i would like to know , if it is possible to save a state in a movie , such as a scene maybe which is arrived after clicking 1-2 buttons ,
    can it be possible to put something like a save button which will allow the user to SAVE the scene as a SWF or JPEG / BMP file .

    You can do something like this:

    hi cancerinform ,
    thanks for the reply . I will look into that but i was wondering if current file / swf could could be exported ? its not necessary required for the person to come back at a later time or on a movie reload .

    You can have your movie in a MovieClip. Then you can save the Movieclip as a Bitmap.

    is that through end user interaction ?

    Yes, but in Flash 8 it is very tedious. In Flash 9 AS3 you have the bytearray, which can store an image in binary code. here are tutorials for both of them.
