Other than forcing fullscreen, very well done. Nice effects and transition. Not sure how it will sell in the corporate world, but the kids here at flashkit sure got their hormones in an uproar

likewise, i hate fullscreen but that's an old debate.. i'm just not sure if it's worth putting that girl on there. I guess it depends on what sort of client you are trying to reach!

Told you about the gnashing you'd receive

trbarry, glad you posted this to "cool sites". Its obviously a cool site as you can see by the responses. I had come across the site you did for A Perfect Circle some time ago and emailed the link to friends as a cool site to check out. You guys did a great job! I'm not a A Perfect Circle fan, Maynerd fan or even a Tool fan. I just liked the design.

I think the nude model is tastefully done and summons an audience real quick. Cheers! Jeers!

Definitely was a little pissed when the fullscreen mode popped up, but the overall design of the site is tight, and this site is a nice representation of a good use of white space. Not overcrowded at all.

One thing to pick on: The subnavigation used to scroll horizontally between production sites in the lower left of the screen is quite cumbersome to use. Possibly moving the "scroll" aspect of that area outside the clickable area would prove more beneficial...

    Nice job.

    full screen

the obvious reason is because it complements the design and provides more control over the experience. it's always been very frustrating to try to design something nice, only to have it surrounded by that horrific Windows interface. what good is it to build a design around the concept of negative space, but still have a screen full of clutter?

we agree that it can suck to have something take over your OS, but only if it's done poorly and you're trapped. getting out is as easy as one click. maybe if we get alot of feedback stating that it bothers our visitors, we'll have to put up an interstitial screen that lets you opt-in -- just so people aren't freaked out.

    thanks for the feedback.

    nice work...

... i like the site very much, i only find the preloader a little boring, the first loading time is too long. I like fullscreen sites (if the design is ok), but it didn´t work well by my imac (navigator 4.7). I´ve seen other sites where the javascript is working perfectly (http://www.mtv2.co.uk).

I would disable the menu options too (only "about macromedia flash" enable, it looks proffesional).

thanks. we may spruce it up. our target audience is generally high-bandwidth though.

interesting. thanks for the heads-up. what exactly did it do wrong? not go completely full? unfortunately, no full-screen on the mac is as clean as IE on winxx. we tested on alot of macs and it pretty much fills up the screen, as much as a mac can.

please explain. not sure why this would imply professionalism...

I learned a while back with my site that using full-screen is generally not wanted. Most people know how to find the X button to close their window, but in a windows GUI using an ActiveX control. If I had not imediately seen your reiteration of that button, I would have had to Alt+F4, which the majority of people don't know.
Keep in mind that F/S is, in a way, trapping the user. Or at least it can provide an quick sense of it, which you might want to avoid since you are trying to sell a service.

    Also,

I know that if I were going for professionalism, I would definitely avoid nudity as it would be a big turn-off with a lot of potential customers, (who are you selling to?).

    Other than that, looks good.

The form of the woman is reall neat in terms of you she has been animated, but I think the nude part totally raises a red flag (my opinion).

    Again, MY *option*

The site looks great. I'm so sick of seing flash sites where everything moves on your screen in an uncoordinated fashion to the beat of a repetitive techno loop. So I appreciated the simple, yet stylish designed you opted for on this site. Also, the choice of a light, relaxing loop goes perfectly with the design and doesn't get on your nerve after 30 seconds.

Like many others said, you should definatly, at least, give the user the choice of a fullscreen window or a 800*600 window for exemple. As for the nude girl, from a flash designer's point of vue, it's really great. If you only target the younger, "high-bandwith", hip audience, then the girl is a definite plus for your site. But if you wish to attract a more "distinguised", corporate audience, you should probably question her necessity to your site.

These minor concerns appart, this site is a very good one and, in fact, I'm adding it to my list of the best flash sites on the net whitch you can find at http://www.flashkit.com/board/showth...threadid=71475 . Check it out!

    nice

one of the best sites i have seen lately.
Well thought-out, smooth, clear and fresh at the same time ( and I am telling you the biggest freshness comes from that women!!!!!)

Very good work! liked it a lot.

Only thing: was my stereo not set up right or didn't I hear any sound or was there none?
